Whether you are thinking of adding on a master suite, kitchen, office or family room, a home addition allows you to stay in a neighborhood you love, and avoid the expense and hassle of moving. There is almost always an opportunity to expand a home’s space by going up or out.
The best way to save money on an addition is to reduce its size. Often reducing the size of an add-on includes thinking about making the most of the existing space in a home. This may include the clever rearrangement of spaces.
A successful home addition does not look like an addition at all. It looks like an original part of the house. A poorly conceived addition will detract, rather than add to, the value of a home.
This addition and rearrangement of the garage allowed for some reconfiguration of interior space, and also included a screened-in porch off the master suite. New roofing, some repairs, and new paint completed the exterior remodel.
